Huelva Tourism Forum
Tourism is an important foundation when it comes to the promotion of the province of Huelva, in the search for investors and visitors.
Aware of this reality the political and economic powers of Huelva have united their forces in order to develop tourism in the province. Trade Unions, Businessmen, Politicians and Ecologists have drawn up a document which reflects the need to support business activity - both inland and along the coast - while at the same time preserving the environment. The businessmen of Huelva have given this agreement their thumbs up, given that already there are numerous new businesses prepared to invest in the province, be it in hotels, residential tourism or golf courses.

Sierra Mágina Plan - Jaén
The Sierra Mágina Nature Park, in Jaén, is to be managed by a sustainable development plan over the next six years - with the objective of improving the quality of life of the local residents and the environment of the area. The project is made up of 167 points - a space which occupies nearly 20,000 hectares and which affects - together with the area of influence of the park - some 55,000 inhabitants. For the project to be a successful one, it’s necessary for the local population and businessmen of this protected area to get involved. The regional government environment office is also planning to create a central reservation centre for the commercialisation of tourism, as well as carrying out a study of the shelters in the nature park and the creation of a ecological corridor between the two natural parks of Cazorla and Sierra Mágina. This sustainable development plan will eventually be extended to the 23 nature parks in Andalucía.

Tourist Board Office Convention
Golf is one of the most interesting tourism attractions for a country such as Canada, because of its cold winters and the strength of the dollar. This has given rise to an increase in the numbers of Canadian tourists coming to Spain. This news was confirmed at the latest office convention of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board during their visit to Toronto, where they held meetings with the main Canadian companies dedicated to the organisation of congresses and incentive travel. The tourist board is making the most of the fact that the Costa del Sol is a favoured destination in Spain and one which offers many possibilities for the hosting of such events and their travellers. The Costa del Sol Tourist Board is now planning a familiarisation trip for the representatives of the most important incentive firms in Toronto, to show them the possibilities of the area as a tourism destination for this market.

Holy week is getting closer. A holiday time we can make the most of by getting to know new places, monuments, traditions and routes as different as is Andalucía itself. One of these is the Nararene Route, which starts at the gates of the Sierra Morena and takes us to the province of Jaén and then onto Granada. La Ruta de los Nazaríes, as it is known here, allows travellers to discover a group of Mudejar castles, palaces, churches and archaeological sites. From Las Navas de Tolosa in the Sierra Morena we travel to La Carolina, Baños de la Encina, Bailén and Andújar in Jaén, where as well as enjoying the sea of olive groves we can also admire hermitages, small palaces and churches in many different styles. Once in Granada - the plain of Albolote and Maracena and in the city itself all the richness of the last Muslim holdout before the city was taken by the Catholic kings awaits us.
