FERIA PESQUERA FIMAR
The locality of Isla Cristina in Huelva province is intimately linked to the sea and fishing. A key trade to understand its origins and development.
Each year the Industrial Sea Fair FIMAR celebrates this - the only fair in Andalucía dedicated entirely to the sea. In it around 50 companies take part and show the latest technology in boat engines, nets and, as you would expect in Isla Cristina, products for the conservation of fish and salted fish so popular in this area.
Some products made in an entirely traditional way making the best use of olive oil as a natural ingredient.
Also well liked are the shellfish, sardines and other fish brought ashore by the local fleet.

CORPUS CHRISTI FIESTAS
The provinces of Granada, Jaén and Cádiz are living one of their most popular religious fiestas - Corpus Christi. In Granada the religious fervour mixes with the party atmosphere. Here the procession is proceeded by Giants and Big Heads and the traditional carnival dragon. In Zahara de la Sierra in Cádiz, Corpus is declared a fiesta of national tourist interest. Here the neighbours take part in filling the streets of the village with flowers so that they are best dressed for Sunday June 17. Since the 15th century the village has filled with those eager to see the holy procession. Flowers are also the protagonists of the fiesta in the town of Villacarrillo in Jaén, where the Corpus Christi is carried through the streets of the village converted into carpets of flowers. Some celebrations in Andalucía - a real spectacle.

PARIS MEETING POINT
The authors of the Spanish artistic vanguard who coincided in Paris at the start of the 20th century have met again in Málaga in the exposition ‘Paris, meeting point’ The works chosen for the show, which runs until July 1 in the Bishop’s palace, are generally little known in Spain and correspond to a generation of artists who travelled to Paris in the 20's when Picasso and Miró were already there. The creation of new forms and the breaking with tradition flourished in Paris at that time, and this led to the arrival of these artists who set up residence there and shared studios, classes, discussions and exhibitions.
