Five more people needed urgent hospital treatment on their arrival

82 immigrants came ashore on Gran Canaria on Saturday after a tragic crossing from the African coast.

There were three dead among the travellers and five more needed urgent hospital treatment on their arrival.

Four of them remain in hospital. The Red Cross say they attended to 41 of the travellers in total.

An 18 month old baby survived the journey.
