The top flamenco dancer is serving three and a half years in prison for killing a man on a zebra crossing in Sevilla

Flamenco dancer, Farruquito, Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya, has been granted the second grade in prison where he is serving a three and a half year sentence for hitting a pedestrian on a zebra crossing and failing to report an accident.

His defence team had asked for the prison sentence to be changed to social work, but the new ruling means that he will obtain permissions to leave the jail from September.

The prosecution in the case say they will appeal the decision to grant second grade.
