It’s been revealed that authorities in Senegal have arrested close to one hundred people who planned to start a voyage to the Canary Islands on board a ship registered in the Gambia.
The Senegalese Press Agency, APS, reports that the local gendarmerie on Saturday arrested 90 prospective passengers and nine Gambian crew members.

Also taken into custody was the captain, reported by EFE news agency as British.
