email this article Another 44 passengers survived the journeyAn immigrant boat arrived at port in Mogán, on the southwest of Gran Canaria, on Tuesday under Civil Guard escort. It arrived with 44 passengers, all from Sub Saharan Africa, and all male: also on board were the bodies of two men who died on the journey.
The Civil Guard say all the survivors appeared to be healthy and that three of them were minors.
The vessel was spotted offshore in the late afternoon on Tuesday by a fishing boat, who then informed the Civil Guard.
