It happened at Las Cunas flying field on Thursday morning

A 54 year old man from Madrid has died in a light aircraft crash at Las Cunas flying field in Vera.

It happened on Thursday morning, shortly before midday, with the possible cause reported by Europa Press that the plane was caught by a sudden gust of wind as the pilot was trying to change direction.
There was no information in the report on the name of the victim.
