The ship rescued 26 immigrants last Wednesday

Libya on Friday had a change of heart and finally allowed the Spanish fishing boat, ‘Nuestra Madre Loreto’ to dock in Tripoli and disembark the 26 rescued immigrants it rescued last Wednesday 95 miles from the coast.

Tripoli is reported to have changed her position following diplomatic pressure applied from Madrid.

The Capitan’s brother told El Pais however that they were worried how the immigrants would take the news, as they thought they were being taken to Spain. One of the immigrants died on board the Spanish ship.
