email this articleThe Town Hall in El Bosque says traditional houses are being demolished and locals are unable to compete with the purchasing power of foreign buyersA urgent council meeting held in the village of El Bosque, in Cádiz province, has passed an agreement to suspend planning permission for multi-family dwellings, with the reason given by Europa Press on Tuesday that the demand for second residences is having a ‘negative effect’ in the villages of the Cádiz Sierras.
The Town Hall says the villagers’ are unable to compete with the purchasing power of foreign buyers, and that traditional houses in the village centre are being demolished to make way for apartments to sell to foreign buyers.
