email this articleHe was trying for an emergency landing at the Casarrubios airfield on WednesdayThe pilot of a light aircraft flying from Igualada, Barcelona, to the Casarrubios airfield in Toledo died on Wednesday when the plane came down near El Álamo, on the border with Toledo. He was due to fly on from there to Portugal.
It’s understood that the pilot made an emergency landing shortly after taking off again from Casarrubios, and crashed nearby.
The only information on his identity is that he was between 40 and 45 years old and was from Portugal.
