Spanish Deputy PM becomes godmother to a baby Galapagos tortoise

The Deputy Prime Minister, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, is on a whistle-stop tour of South America, where she is making official visits to six countries in just 12 days.
The Minister has already visited Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Chile, and is currently in Ecuador, where she’s due to meet President Rafael Correa later today.
She takes with her an offer from the Spanish government for an agreement which could improve the quality of life for families whose relatives are working in Spain: it would include facilities for them to set up their own businesses, without having to rely on money sent home by their relatives, with the idea of also providing sufficient income to allow the emigrants to then return home.
While she was in Ecuador, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the Galapagos Islands, where she was named an honorary park guard, and was also named godmother to Fausto, a baby Galapagos tortoise.
The next country on her visit is Argentina.
