A policeman from Benidorm shot a man dead as he tried to rob his home

National Police in Benidorm have opened an investigation into the case. The dead man has been described by them as a 30 year old man from Madrid.
It's thought he had broken into the local policeman's home in order to carry out a theft, and that the policeman fired in self defence.
Local residents say they would not be surprised if a settling of scores was involved. They told the Informacion newspaper that 'more and more immigrants and conflictive people' had moved into the building
