The plane crashed in Dalías on Monday as it was flying from Ibiza to Málaga

The four occupants of a light aircraft which went down in Dalías on Monday afternoon have been rescued after the plane crashed en route from Ibiza to Málaga province.

It was bound for the Axarquía area of Málaga.

The news on the accident from Europa Press is that it happened in Los Llanos de Barjalí after the pilot radioed to flight control in Seville at 5.30, saying the plane was about to crash.

He radioed again just minutes later to say that two of his passengers were seriously injured after the aircraft came down.

Three of the four people on board were rescued by a team from the Infoca forest fire service, and the other by a passing goatherd. They were seen by doctors in health centres in Alhama and Laujar, and none needed to be admitted to hospital.

Sources at the 112 emergency service told Europa Press they are three women and a man, and appeared to be foreign.
