The producers of the film about Spain's famous bullfighter are reported by Información to owe money to the Social Security and others
The new film about Spanish bullfighter ‘Manolete’ and starring Adrien Brody and Penélope Cruz, and shot in the Ciudad de la Luz and across locations in Alicante province, has run into trouble.
The production company, Iberoamericana Films, has been embargoed by the Spanish Social Security for lack of payment of 999,000 €.
The company which prepared much of the scenery for the film, Construcciones Escénicas Moya, takes the producers to court today in the first of seven legal complaints it has placed, demanding almost a million €.
The Andrés Vicente Gómez production from Lolafilms had a budget of more than 20 million € and started shooting last April.
It still has no release date, but is expected to seen in the new year.
