The capitan of the vessel has to report to the Spanish courts every fortnight

The Odyssey Exploration company has until tomorrow, Monday, to present information to the court in Tampa, Florida, which has been formally requested of it by the Spanish Government.

Following the recovery of 500,000 silver and gold coins from somewhere off the Spanish coast, Spain has asked for details on the location, cargo and identity of the boat carrying the treasure.

Meanwhile the Odyssey Explorer, after being searched in the port of Algeciras by the Guardia Civil, was granted permission to leave Spain. She departed on Saturday. Her captain, Sterling Vorus, was arrested last week after refusing a search of the vessel, claiming that because the Odyseey Explorer is registered in the Bahamas, some authority from there should be present during the search.

He was released after questioning, but still faces charges of disobeying authority and is still obliged to present himself to the courts in Algeciras every fortnight.
