The network sold the steroids illegally to gyms and other sports centres

There have been seven arrests in Málaga in connection with a network which illegally sold anabolic steroids to gyms and other sports centres, where the product confiscated as part of the operation could have brought them more than 3 million € in profits.

Dubbed Operation Samson, the investigation began in June after information from the health authorities, and the later discovery of a pharmacy warehouse which bought the steroids from laboratories in Spain and Greece to sell them on illegally. One of the seven now in custody is the owner of the warehouse.

The operation remains open and more arrests have not been ruled out.
