A formal complaint regarding the Bosque de Bahía Blanca in El Puerto de Santa María has been lodged with the Cádiz courts

The environmental organisation, Ecologistas en Acción, has lodged a formal complaint at the Cádiz provincial court against the destruction of one of the last forested areas on the coast of El Puerto de Santa María, known as the Bosque de Bahía Blanca.

The complaint is, according to information published in La Voz Digital, made against those who voted for and approved a licence for a development on the land, against the promoters themselves, and against the Junta de Andalucía’s environmental department for authorising the felling of the trees.

The organisation alleges that crimes against the environment and territorial planning may have taken place.
