Opposition leader visits the Costa del Sol on Thursday

Mariano Rajoy will visit three towns with the PP candidate for presidency of the Junta, Javier Arenas

The opposition leader, Mariano Rajoy, is on the Costa del Sol on Thursday, for a whistle-stop tour of the western coast with Javier Arenas, the Partido Popular’s candidate for presidency of the Junta de Andalucía in the regional election which takes place next March.

Arenas was a member of the Cabinet in the previous PP administration under José María Aznar, and is currently President of the PP-A, the Partido Popular of Andalucía.

EFE gave the two politicians’ itinerary as Estepona at 11.30, then going on to Benalmádena, followed by a public meeting in the Príncipe de Asturias municipal auditorium in Torremolinos at 8pm. The PP Mayor of Torremolinos, Pedro Fernández Montes, will be there for the meeting, as will the party’s provincial president, Joaquín Ramírez.
