Spain has already qualified for the 2008 Euro Championship

The Jerez player will be in the starting line up for Spain in today’s match against Northern Ireland to be played in Las Palmas.
It’s an interesting choice as his contract with Mallorca means that he will now be paid 300,000 € for becoming an international player.

Luis Aragonés has decided to keep his short players in attack, Iniesta, Cesc, Xavi and Silva.

The side held a long training session yesterday in Las Palmas – at a temperature of 24 degrees.
