Residents escape serious injury in Jerez building collapse

Two occupants received minor injuries, and others were treated for shock

The occupants of a two-storey building in Jerez de la Frontera narrowly escaped serious injury when it suddenly collapsed at around midday on Tuesday. Two women with minor injuries were rescued by firemen, while the remaining residents managed to escape the rubble themselves. Emergency services told Europa Press the majority were treated for shock.

The building is some years old, and is on Calle Lealas. A new building is under construction on the adjacent plot.
