email this article Sara Fernández thinks that her ticket was taken during celebrations in the bar where she worksAn employee from the Arco Iris bar in Carballo in A Coruña, Sara Fernández, has denounced that someone has stolen her decimo ticket – with the winning number of 6,381 in this year’s Gordo Christmas lottery. She works in the bar which sold as many as 70 winning tickets, each one worth 300,000 € and says that her own ticket was taken from the container where she keeps the tips behind the bar sometime during the somewhat drunken celebrations in the bar after the draw.
Sara says that everyone in the bar was a regular, but has refused to speculate who may be responsible. Police say they are hopeful of catching the thief, given that all the winning tickets are of known series and so, in theory, they should be able to identify the ticket when someone tries to claim the winnings.
