She threw them out of the window into the arms of neighbours below then jumped herself

A mother saved her two young children from their blazing flat in the San Antolín area of Murcia City in the early hours of Wednesday, by throwing them out of her second floor window onto mattresses placed in the street below by her neighbours. A neighbour managed to catch the one and two year old in his arms. The mother only jumped herself once she knew her children were safe.

La Opinión de Murcia said none were seriously injured, although all three were treated for smoke inhalation, and the woman suffered bruising when she landed on the mattresses below.
The paper said the building will have to be demolished, after the flames, which were initially thought to be extinguished, caught hold again two hours later.

It means that the family have lost their livelihood, a small shop they ran on the ground floor below the flat.
