His body was found in a ravine near the border with Mazarrón

A man who was reported missing some days ago has been found dead in a ravine in Cartagena. His body was discovered in the area known as Peñas Blancas on Sunday morning, to the west of the town centre, near the border with Mazarrón.

The discovery came after a hiker found the victim’s car keys and documentation in a mountain refuge on Saturday evening, by which time there was insufficient light to continue with the search for the missing man. The body was found at 9.30 on Sunday morning.

The victim’s name has not yet been released to the press, nor is there any news on whether violence may have been involved in his death.
