email this articleThe win is the largest ever seen in Spain, but the identity of the winner remains a mysteryA Euromilliones lottery ticket owner has won this Friday night’s European draw and will get 76.6 million €, as he was the only winner with the correct combination. His or her identity remains a mystery, but we do know that the winning ticket cost the sum of four €.
The ticket was purchased at the Lottery Office number two in Montefrío, Granada. Local rumours say that the winner is still in the hills collecting olives, unaware of his wealth.
It’s the largest ever lottery win in Spain and the second biggest in Europe.
The top category win means that next week’s top price goes down to 15 million.
The Spanish did well in the draw this week, with three other Spanish tickets sharing in the second prize of five numbers and a star number. Those winners will get 341,000 € and those tickets were sold in Palma de Mallorca, Madrid and San Sebastian.
