He was teaching a class on electricity when it happened

A teacher at an ‘escuela taller’ trade school in Bornos died on Tuesday when he was teaching a class on electricity. 37 year old Francisco Javier García Jiménez from Arcos was electrocuted in front of eight pupils and all attempts by emergency services to bring him round were unsuccessful.

The local Mayor, Fernando García, told La Voz Digital that the tragic accident may have happened because the teacher was handling cables just as the power came back on, which had been off since 5 o’clock that morning.
