email this article 100 million Euro is to be spent over the next four years in the Qualifa planThe Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Joan Clos, was in Málaga yesterday and announced the Government is funding the Costa del Sol under the ‘Qualifa’ plan to the tune of 100 million €. The sum is 20 million more than expected, and will be used to revitalise the western Costa del Sol as a tourist destination.
The agreement was signed with the regional councillor Sergio Moreno, who said the money would go on a series of concrete projects over the next four years as part of a global investment in tourism over the time of 335 million.
Eight towns will benefit from the funding - Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Casares and Manilva.
