Local pilot killed in light plane crash in Totana

It happened when he was coming in to land at the local airfield on Sunday

A 36 year old man from Totana is reported to have died this Sunday when he was bringing his light aircraft in to land at the local airfield on the road to Mazarrón. It’s understood the accident happened at midday, just 500 metres from the runway, and he was already dead when emergency services arrived on the scene.

EFE names the pilot as J.L.I., and said there was no-one else with him in the plane when it crashed.
