The 60 year old victim was found seriously injured two days after the assault took place

A 24 year old man from Morocco has been arrested in Níjar for the attempted murder of his Belgian employer, a 60 year old man named as León Q. who was found seriously injured on a property he owns in the area of El Nazareno on 10th Janaury. He suffered five fractures to his skull, and the Civil Guard have now determined that the man who made an anonymous call to emergency services reporting finding what appeared to be a dead body was the suspect, Mohamed E.R.

Europa Press said the victim was found two days after the assault took place and remembers nothing of what happened. A bloodstained rock and a construction tool were lying nearby.

The Civil Guard say the arrest took place on Sunday last week, and Mohamed E.R. has been remanded to custody. There has been no news of what the motive for the attempted murder could be.
