A hectare of land razed by forest fire in the Marina Alta

It affected Adsubia, north west of Pego

There have been reports of a forest fire in Adsubia, a small village north west of Pego, which destroyed a hectare of wooded area before it was brought under control on Tuesday night. The Generalitat confirmed to the EFE news agency that the flames were under control shortly after 10pm on Tuesday, but that fireman remained at the scene until around 3am, by which time it was properly extinguished.

There were no reports of any injuries or of what may have started the blaze.
