The Informacíon newspaper said 23 year old P.P.F.A. from Ecuador was arrested in Tudela this Saturday for a domestic violence assault reported by a neighbour. They said the victim had injuries to her face, and told police that she had not seen her partner since the birth of their son four months ago until he returned home at the end of February.
It later turned out when police checked their records that he was wanted for the Alcoy stabbing and was also subject to a deportation order issued in Alicante in March 2007. The victim in the Alcoy case was attacked for no apparent reason while walking by the disco, the paper said, and is still recovering from emergency surgery. A second person who was involved in the assault was arrested shortly afterwards.
