No incidents at the Dragon hippy festival this year

The Easter weekend attracted some 10,000 hippies to the Granada alpujarra village of Órgiva for the annual ‘Fiesta del Dragon’.
The gathering is generally permitted each year despite often not obtaining the official permissions and upsetting some of the locals.
Those who attend often travel from across Europe to celebrate the start of Spring, which this year coincided with the Easter weekend.
The event ended officially yesterday with no more trouble than complaints about the noise.
