Detectives are still looking for the gun used to shoot the National Police officer last weekend

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a National Police officer in the centre of Benidorm last weekend, where 54 year old Fabián Torres was shot in the chest while on patrol in the district of El Molino in the early hours of Saturday.

The Información newspaper said the man in custody, L.G.D., was arrested on Wednesday, and also reports that the first suspect, a man said to be around 20, tested positive in a test for gunpowder residue. The weapon and bullets used in the shooting have yet to be found however, but it’s believed to have been a .22 calibre gun.
