Bodies of two workers recovered from collapsed cave house in Águilas

A specialist mining team was brought in from Asturias to carry out the operation

A group of mining specialists from Asturias was brought in to help recover the bodies of two workers who were buried in a collapsed cave house at Águilas, Murcia yesterday.

The collapse happened at 11am yesterday morning and one body of a worker was rescued from the scene quickly as it was found close to the entry to the dwelling at number 3, Paseo de la Constitución.

The collapse is thought to have happened when the workers removed a wall as they were doing some reform work inside making the cave more comfortable as a dwelling.

The bodies recovered overnight, are reported to be of a Moroccan man with a French passport, and a Romanian worker.
