How Jill Triay thought of an idea to raise funds for Cudeca

Jill Triay from Sotogrande thought up of a very clever idea of how to raise funds for Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice. Being a very sociable soul, she roped all of her friends into her plan and as a result managed to raise a fantastic 3.187.13 Euros. Jill bought 100 ceramic money box pots from her local garden centre and gave one to each of her friends. The idea was to donate a euro into the pot every time the ladies did some exercise or went on their regular keep fit walks.

Marisa Ballestracci and Laura Haggis from the Hospice, were invited to attend the “crack open the pots” party held at Jill’s house. Over 15 of her friends came along with their pots, which they individually cracked open with a hammer! (as shown in the photo).

Jill is a very enthusiastic supporter of Cudeca and has many more innovative ideas of how to raise those much needed funds. If you would like to organise an event along these lines, please contact Laura in the Fundraising department on 952 56 49 10 or e-mail pr@cudeca.org.
