Missing Irish woman found safe on Tenerife

Lizzie Butler had been missing since Sunday and was spotted by a member of the public on Tuesday night

The 68 year old Irish woman who went missing on Tenerife last Sunday as her nieces were checking into a hotel has been found safe and sound.

Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Butler from Kilkeeny is said to suffer from a mild form of Alzheimer’s, and was finally spotted at 11pm on Tuesday night by a member of the public who recognised her thanks to a local poster campaign in the area of Playa de Las Americas.
