15 of the people who arrived this morning are children

A Cayuco boat with 62 immigrants on board has arrived overnight in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It’s the second such vessel to reach the port this year and the occupants are now being transferred to the south of the island or to the Hoya Fría immigrant reception centre.

It’s thought that 15 of the travellers could be children. The Cayuco came into port at 6,30am this morning and all on board are thought to be of Sub-Saharan origin.
