Seven policemen were slightly injured in the explosion at six this morning. The Basque terrorists gave a half-hour phone warning.

An ETA bomb has exploded at the offices of the Basque Socialist Party in a district of Bilbao. Seven regional Ertzainza Policemen were slightly injured, and there was a large amount of material damage.

Six of the injured suffered hearing damage from the blast while the third was forced down some stairs by the explosion after helping one of the local residents.

It happened in the La Peña area of the city just after six this morning, with a phone warning to the regional Basque police coming from the terrorists half an hour before it went off but reports indicate that a police patrol had located the device earlier at 0510 this morning.
