It's not yet known why the Spanish man in his forties carried out the action

An unnamed Spanish man in his 40’s who set fire to himself in the street in Almería is now in a very serious condition in hospital with second and third degree burns.

It happened on Friday afternoon, for reasons which are still not clear, in Calle Maurruecos in the city. Medics rushed the man from the scene to hospital in a helicopter to the specialist burns unit of the Virgen del Rocio Hospital in Sevilla, and say he has burns to 80% of his body.
