The man is thought to have carried out the campaign following the death of a friend from drugs.

Instruction Court 2 in Elda has taken a statement from the 48 year old local businessman, named with the initials F.M.G. who is accused of leaving small explosive devices in seven areas where drugs are illegally brought and sold in the area.

He admitted in court only to the placing of three of the devices, one of which exploded outside a pub in Elda last April 7.

TEDEX explosives experts found the fingerprint of the suspect on one of the devices which failed to explode.
The man has been released with charges outstanding by the court.

A statement from the Police says they think the man was looking for revenge for the death of a friend who died from taking adulterated drugs.
