Mayor of Puerto Real insults the King

The I.U. left wing Mayor of Puerto Real, José Antonio Barroso, finds himself in hot water for allegedly calling King Juan Carlos, ‘corrupt’, ‘brittle’ and ‘the son of a rake’. He made the comments during an act in Los Barrios to mark the anniversary of the Spanish republic earlier this week, and now sees his words under investigation by the prosecutors’ office in the Cádiz provincial court.
If they find any indication of a crime as having been committed, the case will be passed on to the National Court.
The Mayor meanwhile has said he has evidence that the King interfered in the process to expropriate the Rumasa company in 1982, and that he, the Mayor of Puerto Real, is waiting for the dawn of the Third Republic in Spain.
