The two men in their 20's were a flight instructor and his student.

Two people have died in a light plane crash on the outskirts of Madrid this morning. The craft came down just a few metres from the M-40 ring road in the area of the Islazul shopping centre at Carabanchel at 11am this morning.

Two men in their 20’s reported to be the flight instructor and his pupil were killed as the plane came down as they were heading towards the Cuatro Vientos airport.

The reason for the accident is now subject of an investigation.
