The ex Municipal Real Estate Assessor is currently in prison in Madrid after his bail conditions in the Saqueo case were increased.

The ex municipal real estate assessor in Marbella Town Hall, Juan Antonio Roca, will be taken from the Soto del Real prison in Madrid on Wednesday to the Marbella courts for more declarations in the Malaya case.

Roca entered the jail on April 23, just nine days after being granted bail from the Albolote prison in Granada, after paying 1 million € bail in the Malaya case, but then imprisoned again when bail against him in the Saqueo 1 case was increased by the judge to three million.

His appearance before the judge on Wednesday completes this phase of questioning in the case, although the instruction judge has not ruled out charging more people in the case of real estate corruption.

On Thursday in the Provincial Court in Málaga, an appeal against the high bail set against Roca will be heard, while his lawyer says he is to appeal against the National Court order to increase bail to 3 million € in the Saqueo case where the alleged diversion of 26.7 million € of public money into private hands is being investigated.
