email this article The Expo has a four million Euro budget for live music events.Bob Dylan is to open his new tour in Zaragoza on June 23 on the stage which will also welcome Gloria Estefan and Bunbury as part of the events organised in the city for the Expo.
Dylan has recorded a new version of ‘A Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall’ for the Expo, and his voice, image and words are part of the international promotion for the event.
The organisers of the Expo have just revealed their live music program, with the large concerts over the duration of the Expo being held in the Feria de Muestras in Zaragoza, which holds 35,000 people. A theatre in the Expo site holds more than 7,000 and shows will be shown there for the 92 day duration of the Expo at 2345pm nightly.
The budget for the musical events is four million €, with the objective being that prices be kept low. Other top artists already confirmed for the event are Iggy Pop, Alanis Morrissette, Ruben Blades or Antony and the Johnsons who perform with the Milan Classical Orchestra on September 12.
Also confirmed, Paul Weller, Björk, Enrique Morente, Patti Smith, Youssou N’Dour and Chambao.
