The young Barcelona striker has asked not to be selected, citing personal reasons.

Young Barcelona star player, Bojan, has asked the trainer of the Spanish national side, Luis Aragonés, not to call him to play in the European Cup. The Barça striker said he did not want to take part in the tournament ‘for personal reasons’, according to a statement released by Barcelona Football Club.

We also now know that despite the ever-present speculation and wishes of the fans Raúl will not be playing either.

It means the trainer still has to find a fourth striker to go alongside Fernando Torres, David Villa and Daniel Güiza.

Luis Aragonés is to announce the names of his squad of 23 players for the championships, which run from June 7 to 29 in Austria and Switzerland, on Friday.
