email this article Santiago del Valle now has to serve a two year sentence for the abuse of a nine year old girl in 2003, which was originally suspended.The man who is alleged to have killed the Huelva five year old, Mari Luz Cortés, Santiago del Valle, has been ordered by a court in Sevilla to start serving a two year prison sentence which was handed down against him for the abuse of a nine year old girl in July 2003.
The decision by the court comes after an earlier decision to suspend the sentence was given conditional on the accused not re-offending. He has though be found guilty by the courts in Asturias of fraud, for which he was handed down an eight month sentence.
Santiago del Valle is currently being held on remand in prison for the Mari Luz case where he is accused of killing the child in January this year.
