It broke out on the terrace of a pub in the Flamenca Beach commercial centre yesterday morning.

Fire has destroyed a pub in the Playa Flamenca, Flamenca Beach commercial centre in Orihuela Costa. It broke out at 6,20am yesterday morning and lasted for some two hours, gutting the premises, but causing no injuries.

Three fire crews from Torrevieja attended the scene with support from Almoradí. A full investigation into how the fire started is now underway.

It’s the second fire in a shopping centre in the Vega Baja area in two weeks, after a supermarket was destroyed in San Miguel de Salinas. That fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
