Thieves call emergency services when their getaway car breaks down in Marbella

The two men had previosly robbbed a McDonald's in the town.

Two men who are alleged to have robbed a McDonald’s restaurant in Marbella today called the 112 emergency number when their getaway car was involved in an accident and then later caught fire. Both men have now been arrested.

It happened at 4,35pm on the A-355 road at the 30 km point and the emergency services gave the details of the car to the Guardia Civil who confirmed that it was the car which had earlier been involved in a collision during their getaway.
