The jetski carrying the lifeguards collided with another jetski on the Los Locos beach.

Two Red Cross lifeguards were seriously injured in Torrevieja yesterday when two jet skies were in collision.

It happened around noon on the Los Locos beach when one of the jet skis carrying the two red cross lifeguards, ran into the back of another, sending the lifeguards into the air and then crashing back into the skis. Both suffered several fractures, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

A statement from the Red Cross said that an investigation had been opened.
