Youngsters held a street drinking 'botellón' outside her house for three years.

Sevilla City Hall has been ordered to pay a local woman the sum of 24,000 € after she had suffered the noise coming from a botellón drinking party outside her house for the past three years.

The court ruled that the City Hall had been lacking in not protecting her from the noise and other damage from the street parties, saying that health was more important than leisure time.
The sentence was awarded on Thursday, and it is still not known whether the City Hall will appeal or not.

The claimant’s lawyer, Joaquín Herrera del Rey, said he was happy with the sentence, which he said was an advance in the rights of citizens. He said he thought it was the largest settlement in such a case against a botellón.
