The four are charged with stealing motorbikes and mopeds for resale in Morocco.

Four Moroccans have been arrested in Nerja accused of being part of a gang which stole motorbikes and mopeds in Spain to resell them later in Morocco.

The gang used the same system, parking a van by the bike, loading it up and driving away, but at 2am last Tuesday morning a resident of Calle Almirante Ferrandis in Nerja called the Guardia Civil when he witnessed the procedure.

The Guardia arrived in time to catch the gang in the act.
Four Moroccans were arrested and they will appear in court in Torrox shortly.

It’s thought they already have a criminal record for similar behaviour in Toledo. Four mopeds taken from along the Spanish coastline and in Italy have been recovered so far.
